Hand-crafted and meticulously designed, each Truth Guitar created by Christopher Robin is a true original.
In 1993 Christopher studied with world renowned Luthier Brad Nickerson in Easthampton, MA while attending Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. For the past 25 years, Christopher has been playing and recording on a guitar that he built, Brad built or he designed and was built by another Luthier in CT, DGN Guitars.
For years before playing with members of each band, Christopher was a guitar tech for the Gregg Allman Band and Jefferson Starship. Thus, performance, playability, consistency, tone, and reliability are the paramount concerns with building each guitar, customization and the story comes after making each instrument a true player.
Truth Guitars was born from a rekindled passion, necessity, and from absorbing the environment Christopher was living in. The guitars are being built in Historic Jerome Az. Jerome is a town rich with history stemming from a colorful past of pioneers, outlaws, and miners. It only made sense that Christopher paired with the Western Heritage Furniture Company learning from the many decades worth of experiences and from those characters that have been long time Jerome residents. Incorporating elements, material, and stories from this Arizona mountain town into each guitar became that renewed passion for Christopher. Christopher paired up with International Artist and TV Personality Tim McClellen. Tim taught Christopher the copper art and leatherwork. Then there is Noah Pfeiffer, a well-known Southwestern Silversmith, artist, and jewelry maker. Noah does all of the silver, aluminum, and turquoise work on each guitar. The latest ‘Copper Custom’ has 6.6 ounces of silver accents. Next, each pickup is hand wound to the customers desire by my cousin Scott Stonewall Miller in New Hampshire (Stonewall Pickups).
